We were hanging around on the side of the road waiting for the sun to get good when the car went by from left to right. "Those people were just married," Larry said. "How do you know?" I asked. "The woman was wearing a veil." "Well, why didn’t you stop them?" In a few minutes we saw them coming back so we stood in the middle of the road and after they stopped we asked them to get out and pose which they did. They were taking a break from their wedding reception. Later we mailed them some enlargements. I just now noticed the groom has one hand lovingly on the fender of his car which he had restored. Buffalo, Wyoming, on way home from Mt. Rushmore. This photo is featured as a two-page spread in America’s Heartland, published by Barnes & Noble in 2002.
