Thank you for your request for image licensing.

Photography is how we make a living. We are dependant upon the fees we charge to stay in business, much like your attorney or doctor must charge you for his services and expertise. The training, experience and technology we use is very expensive and we must charge appropriately to continue to create high-quality photos.

Ourtake on Royalty-Free

Don't be fooled by the fire-sale prices disks full of photos and web sites with give-away pricing may offer.

You will not find our images on royalty-free disks or sites offering images for little money. We control the usage thus can help insure your competition's work doesn't look the same. This costs you less in the long run and adds to your bottom line. There is a great difference between RF and rights managed and you get what you pay for. We offer only quality rights-managed images.

If you are looking for royalty free or cheap photos, sure, you could buy a hundred images for the cost of one of ours, but so can your competition. And they do. See how Gateway and Dell computers used the same photos to advertise their products here. Did Gateway help Dell or did Dell help Gateway sell more? But they were not the only to use the same image at the same time for their back to school sales...

Their art departments saved a few dollars on the art work. But compared to the media buy and in the overall costs of their respective ad campaigns, it wasn't a bargain they first thought, especially since each probably had to start from scratch.

Was it worth it? We think they were penny-wise and dollar foolish to be blunt. You be the judge...

Here's another use of royalty-free photos, this time a "classic" love story...

Our photos

We can usually fulfill your resequest quckly and efficiently. Most images on our site are ready to go and are available for ftp quickly or we can burn you a disk. Your choice. A few of the images do require high resolution scanning which we can do in-house. Our digital files are properly sized to your requirements, color corrected on our color calibrated system, captioned, and ready for use in your project. We can customize the file, if you wish. If you require releases, we can tell you if they are available or arrange for them.

Our fees start at $225 for one-time usage of any image, plus applicable use tax. We will be happy to quote you our fees based upon your requirements.

Fees are determined by many factors including size; print or electronic usage; wheather the use is for editorial, personal, advertising; length of time; number of times it is used; press run; web page placement; local, regional, or national usage, to name but a few of the factors.

If you need an image in a hurry, we can generally ftp it to your server in just a few minutes.
