February 2013--Essays on digital & the 2012 folios as mentioned in the Al Weber Newsletter, February 2013.
You've found the legacy site of Image West Photography Larry Angier and Carolyn Fox. Since we shoot too many images, have too little time and needed a specialized, e-commerce-enabled and easy-to-update website. This place is now a snapshot highlighting the our transition from analog and film to digital and pixels. View the site at <www.angier-fox.photoshelter.com>
We have made our specialty in photographing the Rural America, and sometimes further afield, as far as Alaksa and Yukon and in 2009, Serbia, especially its rural people and places. We have fun doing it and we think this comes through with some of our more humorous photos.
Our goal is to show a slightly different take of The West and the world than the perfectly composed and lit landscapes of many of our colleagues and to show the more human side...the people shaped by their environment--"cultural landscapes". But we won't hesitate to shoot those perfect iconistic photos when we find them!
We both photograph. Carolyn writes feature articles and I am a graphic designer and the Mac expert and teach workshops in digital photography and printing. I shoot the commercial/industrial pix and those requiring extensive lighting; Carolyn the natural light and quiet close-ups. We shoot pirmarily digital but our craft is based in the long time tradition and craft of film. Occationally, we do workshops, about 6-8 per year. E-mail to get put on the list and tell me you want to be informed email@example.com.
Our site has many photos. It is an eclectic mix. Many things you can't find anywhere else...You can find a listing of what we have shot and links on the images page, though there are too many photos to ever upload. Don't see what you're looking for? Ask!
